Mrs. Henry C. Swallow, 92, Dallas county resident who came in a horse-and-cow-drawn covered wagon from Jackson county 84 years ago, was buried Friday in Booneville, Ia., cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Swallow, who died Tuesday at the home near Booneville in which she had lived since her marriage in 1868, were held in the Booneville, Ia., church.

Mrs. Swallow was born Jan. 17, 1849, in Washington county, Pennsylvania, and came to Jackson county, Iowa, with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Robison, when 6. Two years later the family came to Dallas county, in their covered wagon, the trip through mud and rain requiring two weeks. Mrs. Swallow lived in a little log cabin until her marriage.

Surviving are four sons, Albert of Booneville, Burton of Lead, S. D., Elmer of Los Angeles, Cal., and Thomas Swallow of Des Moines; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Corrigan of Des Moines and Mrs. Hattie Merryman of Waukee, Ia.; one sister, Mrs. Jane Milligan of West Des Moines, 20 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
