Nancy Robison was born in Washington County, Pennsylvania and passed away at Mercy Hospital, Des Moines, on September 24, 1915, at the age of 68 years. Her parents removed to Jackson County, Iowa, and later settled on the farm in Boone township, where the greater part of her life was spent, the family being one of the oldest in the community. After the death of her father in 1906, she with her sister, Jane, removed to Valley Junction, where they have since resided, being of a kind and gentle disposition, she endeared herself to all with whom she came in contact, always willing to make a sacrifice or lend a helping hand to those about her. No one ever more fully shared the respect and esteem of all who knew her. Although she had been in failing health her death was a shock to many. She leaves to mourn her loss four brothers and two sisters, John and Jane of Valley Junction, Henry, Thomas and Mrs. Mary Swallow of Boone township, and William of Booneville, a large number of nieces and nephews and many friends. She was a member of the Catholic church.
