Frankfort - Violet Goins Griffin, 92, passed away Friday, January, 11, 2008, at Bradford Square Nursing Home in Frankfort. Graveside services will be Wednesday, January 16, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Reverend Vernon Carpenter and Reverend Tom Troth will officiate.

Mrs. Griffin is the widow of Edward Thomas Griffin and is survived by three daughters, Suzanne Casey, Jennie Young and Jayne Griffin, Frankfort; two sisters, Edith Fitzgerald and Thelma Nickles, Frankfort; four grandchildren, Chris Casey, Lexington, Pat Casey, Japan, Stephane Young Brown, Texas and Justin Young, New Mexico; and two great grandchildren, Christian and Kellen Casey, Lexington.

Pallbearers will be Tom Young, Raymond Casey, John Updike, Chester Hillard, Ron Harrod and Jimmy Rogers. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Hillcrest Baptist Church in Frankfort or the American Cancer Society.
