James A. Goins
Graveside services for James Alvin Goins, 60, 14187 W. Parsley Drive, Madeira Beach, Florida, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Frankfort Cemetery. He died at his residence Friday after a short illness. Goins, a Franklin County native was a retired supervisor of the computer section of the Lexington section of the Lexington Signal Depot and World War II Air Force veteran. He is survived by three brothers Louis H. Goins of Louisville, Ralph Goins of Cincinnati and Edwin Goins of Spury, Okla.; and three sisters, Mrs. Violet Griffin, Mrs. Marshall (Edith) Fitzgerald and Mrs. Thelma Nickles, all of Frankfort. Goins was the son of the late Madison H. Goins and Fannie Barbour Goins. Dr. Herman Bowers will officiate at the services. Honorary bearers will be Clayton Conway, Melvin Conway, Marshall Fitzgerald, Raymond Casey, Chris Casey, Tom Young and Hugh Goins. There will be no visitation. Harrod Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
