The funeral of Mrs. John Monahan, who died at her home in Milwaukee Feb. 21, was held Saturday from St. Augustine’s church. Burial was made in St. Augustine’s cemetery. James Hurley, Luke Owens, Henry Roach. L. McGrath, James Millay and John Short were pallbearers.

Mrs. Monahan was born in Wayne, Washington County, Wis. She was married to john Monahan, a brother of Mrs. Margaret Irish of Stockbridge, at St. Augustine church here in June 1885. Two sons preceded her in death. She was known among her friends as a woman of fine Christian character who devoted her life to her family and church.

Survivors are her husband and three sons, John, Edward and Morris of Milwaukee; three sisters, Mrs. P. F. Gillespie, Oshkosh; Mrs. Jos. Ruffing and Mrs. Alton Germaine, Stockbridge; two brothers, Alex O’Donnell, Stockbridge town; and John O’Donnell, Stockbridge village.
