"The citizens of the county were greatly shocked and grieved, to learn of the death of Herman Bonges, who died at the home of his parents on Hennepin Prairie, at 2 o'clock a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27, 1910.
"Although he had been seriously ill the past five weeks with typhoid fever, the news of his death was received with profound regret and deep sorrow, by his large number of friends and acquaintances, by whom he was dearly beloved and who will sadly miss him.
"Herman was a promising young man with a bright future before him, but his untimely death has blasted the fond hopes of his large circle of friencds and acquaintances. He had been manager of the I.I. & S. elevator at Granville for two years, but resigned the position to enter business for himself, and a few months ago bought the barber business of Otto Hanson at Granville. He had also recently taken up the auctioneering business, and was destined to soon become noted in that line of business.
"We have been furnished the following obituary:

The deceased leaves to mourn his untimely death his father and mother, two sisters and three brothers, who have the sympaathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement.
The funderal was held at St. Patrick's church on Monday at 10 o'clock a.m., conducted by Rev. Fr. Schuetz, and was attended by a large concourse of relatives and sympathizing friends. Relatives and friends were in attendance from Granville, Henry, Cedar Point, Spring Valley, Seatonville and other places."
