Funeral services for John Sam Cleveland, Jr. 76, of Thomasville are at 2:00 PM on Tuesday January 5, 2016 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Johnny Cooper will officiate and internment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Born February 6, 1939 in Newton, Ga, he was the son of the late John Sam Cleveland, Sr. and Mary Cook Cleveland. He was married to Janice Jenkins Cleveland, who survives. Mr. Cleveland worked for Faircloth Brothers Canada Dry Bottling Co and later for Rumble’s Office City. He was a member of Pineland Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Other survivors include a son and daughter in law Kevin and Amee Cleveland of Thomasville and 2 grandchildren Katie Leigh Cleveland and Dolan Thomas Cleveland. Also surviving are brother and sister in law James and Sue Cleveland of Thomasville, sisters, Rita Holt of Bainbridge, Sue Smith of Camilla, Carolyn Hilliard of Valdosta and sisters and brothers in law Sandra and Sam Sirmons of Climax and Elois and Hank Grey of Reynolds, IL. He was preceded in death by a son Roger Lee Cleveland and a brother Donnie Cleveland and Bobby Cleveland and a sister Elizabeth Hatcher. The family will receive friends from one till service time at Tuesday at Allen & Allen.
