FUNERAL SERVICES HELD LAST THURSDAY FOR D.W. BILLUPS;
INTERMENT AT COLLINSVILLE
Funeral services for Daniel Warren Billups, aged 65, were held last Thursday morning from the First Baptist Church here. Burial took place the same day in the cemetery at Collinsville, with Painter Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Billups, a son of Annie and Pinkney H. Billups, was born Mar. 28, 1875 at Trenton, Missouri, and died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 1941 at his home six miles northwest of Afton, after an illness of three years duration.
On Dec. 11, 1899 he married Miss Etta Morgan of Chariton County, Missouri, who survives; as does one son, Dave Billups. Other survivors, in addition to six grandchildren, include five sisters and four brothers, W.E. Billups and Mrs. Joe Edemann of Mendon, Missouri, Mrs. Ross Morgan of Ramona, Oklahoma, Mrs. Lawrence Wooliver of Oklahoma City, Sam Billups of Keytesville, Missouri, Mrs. Lizzie Johnson, Mrs. Harrison Myers, Tom Billups and Sim Billups, all of Skiatook, Oklahoma.
Mr. Billups was known as a man of sterling character, and was a patient sufferer during his long illness.
