Doris Leah Butler, age 83, of Lindale, Texas passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at a Lindale nursing center. She was born April 2, 1933 in Tioga Township, PA to the late Roy & Elma (Boyden) Bartholomew. Mrs. Butler had previously worked as a registered nurse for Soldiers and Sailor’s Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro, PA and was a member of the Mt. Sylvan Baptist Church including the TEL Class in Lindale, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Earl Butler on May 24, 2011; brothers, Dean Bartholomew and Eugene Bartholomew; and sister, Anna Gallaro. Mrs. Butler is survived by her daughters, Audrey Ann Butler of Lindale, TX and Brenda Butler of Lindale, TX; sons, Lane Butler of Lindale, TX and John Butler of Berryville, VA; sister, Mary Butler of Tioga, PA; brothers, Jay Bartholomew of Millerton, PA, Richard Bartholomew of Virginia and Joseph Bartholomew of Mainesburg, PA; 3 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends at the Kenyon Funeral Home, 214 W. Main St., Elkland on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday 10:00 A.M. with burial to follow in the Farmington Hill Cemetery in Farmington Township, PA.
