Suggested edit: I have been trying to determine Polly's birthdate and have concluded she was born between 1775 and 1777. Polly's mother Martha Spicer #209308150 (first wife of Ozem Brewster) died November 1779 leaving four children. 1) Stephen #6264363 born 4 May 1770 Groton, New London, Ct -- he was raised in Groton by his Spicer grandparents Oliver and Althea Allyn Spicer; 2) Ozem Brewster, Jr. #35380990 born May 1773 in Salisbury, Litchfield Co., Ct; 3) Polly Brewster 1775 -1777) probably in Salisbury, Litchfield, Ct; 4) Jonathan or Johnston Brewster #9797759 born 4 Mar 1779 (conceived about Jun 1778). Ozem Brewster, Sr. served in the Rev. War under Capt. Oliver Potter's Company, Col. Seth Warner Regiment that invaded Canada in 1775. (see page 302 Rolls of Vt. Soldiers in the Rev War 1775-1783).
Thus, unless she was a twin, Mary (Polly) was born between 1775 and 1777. After their mother died in Nov 1779 and while their father Ozem was fighting in the Revolutionary War, Mary and her two brothers Ozem Jr and Jon lived in Tinmouth, Vermont with their Brewster grandparents Deacon Charles #160108271 and Keziah Owen Brewster #13987937 who had moved from Salisbury, Litchfield Co., Ct to Tinmouth, Rutland Co., VT in 1763. The 1800 census for Ozem Sr. indicates he had a daughter (Polly) aged 16-25. On 17 Mar 1801 at age 24 (26), Polly married Josiah Wright #156596089 who was born 2 Aug 1780 in Lenox, Berkshire, MA (son of Samuel Wright IV).

Information initially cited for Find A Grave came from Emma C. Jones' book "The Brewster Genealogy 1566-1907" published 1908 by Grafton Press. Jones (page 242) named FOUR children born to Ozem Brewster Sr and first wife (unnamed). Those four children were Stephen, John, Polly m x Wright, and Ozem. Jones' list of NINE children born to Ozem, Sr. and second wife Keziah Chandler started with the 1786 birth of Sally Brewster.

Updated information on the Ozem Brewster family shows that second wife Keziah Chandler was also the mother of both Mary (Polly) Wright born 1781 in Vermont and Ozem, Jr born March 1784 in Vermont. Ozem, Sr and first wife Martha Spicer were the parents of sons Stephen and John (Johnston) Brewster. Martha Spicer born in 1755 in Groton, New London, Connecticut had died in November 1779 at the age of 24; she was buried in the Spicer Cemetery, Ledyard, New London, Connecticut. Martha's death left her husband Ozem with the care of two children -- son Stephen age 9 and son John 8 months. Stephen would stay in Groton, CT to be raised by his Spicer grandparents Oliver and Alethea, but Ozem, Sr was going to fight in the Revolutionary War. Ozem needed to marry quickly as his baby John needed a mother. Ozem Sr returned to Vermont; his parents had moved there in 1763 and could help with the baby. Soon, in about 1780 Ozem Sr. married distant cousin Keziah Chandler.
* The 1850 census for Salt Creek, Muskingum Co., OH indicates Johnston Brewster said he was 70 and born in Vermont. John came to Chandlersville, Muskingum Co., OH in 1802. ("Genealogies of Connecticut Families, Vol. I, Dr. Benjamin Chandler and His Brother Asaph: Their Wives and Issue, page 302 indicates "John and Stephen Brewster were STEPSONS of Benjamin Chandler's sister Huldah). Johnston Brewster was actually born 3 March 1779, but his mother Martha had died in November 1779 when he was only 8 months old. Johnston's father Ozem, Sr. had moved from Connecticut to Vermont and had married second wife Huldah Chandler, the only mother Johnston knew.
* The 1850 census for Deerfield Twp., Morgan Co., OH shows Mary (Polly) Brewster wife of Josiah Wright was listed as age 69 and born in Vermont, Thus, Mary (Polly) born in Vermont in 1781 was the eldest daughter of Ozem and Huldah Chandler Brewster.
* Ozem Brewster, Jr was born Mar 1784 in Tinmouth, Rutland Co., VT to parents Ozem Sr. and Huldah Chandler Brewster. Ozem, Jr. died in Vermont on 2 February 1807 (no issue).
* Sally Brewster, second daughter born to Ozem, Sr and Huldah Chandler Brewster, was born in 1786 in Tinmouth, Vermont. Sally married Capt. Ebenezer Cutler; she died 22 September 1857 at the age of 72.
