Phoenix Woman Dies On Coast
Miss Helen Heyne, 26 years old, daughter of a pioneer Phoenix family and widely known here died yesterday afternoon in St Mary's hospital in Long Beach, Calif., of a heart ailment after an eight-month illness. She went to the coast five months ago intending to remain only for the summer months, but shortly after reaching there was forced to go to the hospital.
Employed here by the Central Arizona Light and Power Company, for the past several years, Miss Heyne was prominent, in social activities and was a member of a number of women's clubs. She was a native of Phoenix and had lived here all her life. She was a member of St. Mary's church.
She is survived by three sisters, Leta and Loretta Heyne and Mrs. George Meredith, and a brother, Roy, all of Phoenix.
While funeral arrangements have not been completed, it is understood burial will be in Phoenix.
Announcement of services will be made later.

Helen Heyne Rites Slated
Funeral services for Helen Josephine Heyne, popular Phoenix girl who died in a Long Beach, Calif. hospital Friday after a five-month illness, will be held at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning from St. Mary’s Church here.
Burial will be in St. Francis cemetery and the rosary will recited at 7:30 o'clock tonight in the J. T. Whitney chapel.
Death was due to an infection of the heart.
Employed in secretarial work for the Central Arizona Light and Power Company for five years, Miss Heyne was a graduate of Phoenix Union high school and the Long Beach College of Commerce. She was president of Phi Beta sorority, a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and was active in Little Theater work.
She was born m Celina, O., the family moving to Phoenix when she was one year old.
At her bedside at the time of her death were her three sisters, Loretta and Leta Heyne and Mrs. G. R. Meredith, and her brother. Roy J. Heyne, all of Phoenix.
