She spent her life serving others as a nurse at Frederick Memorial Hospital and Washington County Hospital, where she later retired.
She is survived by two sons, Earl M. Guessford of Hagerstown and Clarence "Pete" Guessford of Virginia Beach, Va.; one grandson; and one great-grandson, three granddaughters; and two step-granddaughters.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, Jan. 4, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
