Elmer A. Turner, 80, who was in the resort business at Goguac, Gull and Fine lakes before his retirement about 30 years ago, died at 10:20 p.m. Monday in his home at 354 Grove. He had been in health three years and seriously ill two weeks. Mr. Turner came to Battle Creek from Olivet nearly 36 years ago and had lived for 45 years at the Grove Street address. He and his wife, the former Nellie Sheldon, who survives, would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Christmas Eve. Mr. turner was born April 13, 1865, in Wellington, O., the son of Joseph N. and Madeline L. (Gott) Turner.
