Helen Margaret (nee Summers) Wilk, 86, known to all as Peggy, passed away at home in Jacksonville FL on December 23, 2015. She was born August 29, 1929 in Prunty West Virginia, and was raised in West Virginia with her 6 siblings, five sisters and one brother. She attended Salem College. She met her husband, Ray T. Wilk in Cleveland, Ohio and they were married in August of 1951. They made their home in the Cleveland area where they raised their family. After their retirement they moved to Florida. Peggy was a musician and was asked to sing for weddings and many other events throughout her life. She was a mainstay of her church choir wherever she lived. She enjoyed golf and bowling. Peggy is survived by one sister, Annabelle Drylie of Chesapeake Va., and six children; Jan Campbell Unger (Paul), Charles Wilk, Pat Hughes (Jim), Barb Kovar (Gary), Linda Haizlip (Brad) and Tom Wilk, five grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. She joins great grandson Eli in heaven. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Ray Tyler Wilk. She will be missed by all. A memorial service will take place on December 26 at 10:00am at Shepherd of the Woods Lutheran Church, 7860 Southside Blvd. Jacksonville FL 32256. Internment will take place on Wednesday, December 30, 2:00pm at Bushnell National Cemetery, Bushnell FL.
