BECKER, June J. (Age 83) Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Friend passed away December 16, 2015 in Spokane Valley, WA. She was born April 28, 1932 in Conyers, GA to Ernest and Ollie Dempsey. The family migrated west with a stop in Oklahoma' and then at the age of eight settling in Sedro Wooley, WA. While in "Wooley", she attended Sedro Wooley Elementary and High School where she met and eventually married Louis Ankney in 1948. A daughter Linda, and a son, Mike were products of the marriage. Sadly, they were divorced in 1960.

In the fall of 1963, June met a young motorcycle racer by the name of Marvin Becker. The two fell in love and began a 51 year marriage on August 14, 1964. With June's two children and Marvin's four, Russell, Kathy, Sammi and Rick, this group became the "Becker Bunch". They resided in Spokane until 1969 when they moved to the "farm" in Otis Orchards. In 1980 they built their dream home on 10 acres on the Rathdrum Prairie where they still reside.

June worked her entire career as a bookkeeper for several businesses including the Spokane Daily Chronical, Perry Bros., Wolfe and Will, Fred's Appliance, and Red Label Express. As she neared retirement in 1994 she had an in-home daycare.

She loved to read a good mystery novel, crossword puzzles, knit, crochet and embroider, NASCAR and Jeff Gordon, her grand and great-grandchildren. She also loved the "Zags", never missing a televised broadcast.
