Ada Auman, of Alpena, a master chef, childcare professional, seamstress, gardener, and custom crafter, passed away peacefully from this life on Friday, December 18, 2015 at the age of 89.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Holt Memorial Chapel from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Funeral service is Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Alpena Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. Les Bailey will officiate. Burial will be at Alpena Cemetery. Pallbearers are Shane Auman, Todd Auman, Kavan Maybee, Richard Wise, Steve Ward, and John Campbell. Honorary pallbearers include all of her family and friends, and the staff at Hillcrest Home.

The daughter of William and Mahaley Jane (Hughes) Neff was born on September 7, 1926 at Red Star, AR.

Her parents; husband, Ed Gregson “Dad” Auman; six sisters; and two brothers preceded her in death.

Ada, a.k.a. Gran, is survived by one son and his wife, Roger and Diana Auman; two grandchildren, Shane Auman and wife, Sarah, and Lacie Auman; and two great grandsons, Talon and Trennon Auman, all of Alpena.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alpena Methodist Church, P.O. Box 356, Alpena, AR 72611.
