“Bebe” a little pet Water Spaniel, belonging to Mr. and Mrs. Phil Grinstead, of Louisville, which was a great favorite with its owners, died Sunday. So great was the grief of Mrs. Grinstead that she sent their chauffeur, Morris Alexander, a Glasgow colored man with the remains of the dog, to Glasgow to be burried [sic] under the lilac bush in the back yard of Mr. Brents Dickinson’s home. A funeral is supposed to have been conducted by “Sonk” Cake and some other “Kiddies” and the remains were consigned to mother earth with the hope that its spirit-if it had any-was basking in the sunlight of “Dog Heaven.”
