iHarry C. Irion Jr, 89 of the Leisuretown seciton of Southampton, passed away peacefully at home Fri Nov 29, 2002.
Born in Philadelphia, Harry attended Drexel UN. Married to E.June Suydam in 1937, the family lived in Brooklyn, NY, Pennsauken, NJ and Whippany, NJ. Harry worked for NY Shipbuilding Corp, General Chemical Corp and finally Allied Chemical where he and his wife enjoyed several years working and living abroad in both Israel and Spain. Harry concluded his carer as a Civil Engineer with Allied Chemical Corp of Mooreistown, NJ 1978.
Relocating to Leisuretowne in 1980, Harry and his wife continued to pursue their love of worldwide travel. Harry was an avid reader, a NY Times crossword puzzle aficionado and active in Leisuretowne Wed and Fri Bridge Clubs.
Harry was predeceased by his wife E.June (Suydam) and by his son Anthony R.; he is survived by two sons Harry C. (Deborah-Ley)III of Southampton and Jeffrey A. (Barbara) of Long Valley, NJ; one brother Walter (Sandy) of Tarpon Springs, FL and a sister-in-law Margaret Irion of West Chester, PA; eight grandchildren: Jeffrey, Samantha, Christian, Wendy, Peter, Todd, Maile, and Tamara; and 17 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may all Thur Dec 5 10-11am at Mathis Funeral Home, Medford. Funeral services will be held 11am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park Cemetery, Cinnaminson.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Harry's memory to the Arthritis Foundation.
