Mable Brossette Rachal

A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Mable Brossette Rachal will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 18, 2015, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Monet Ferry, with Reverend Kenneth Obiekwe officiating. Burial will follow in Rachal Cemetery, Marco, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Pineville.

Visitation will be observed at the funeral home on Thursday, December 17, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

Mable Brossette Rachal, 91, of Lena, passed from this life on her birthday, Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at Rapides Regional Medical Center.

Mable was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and a homemaker by choice. Being an Army wife of 20 years, she traveled with her soldier and family from duty station to duty station. Upon settling down in Louisiana, she went to work for N.A.A.A. in Natchitoches and also served as a "Pink Lady" at the hospital in Natchitoches. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, soon to be great-great grandmother, sister and friend who was dearly loved and will not be forgotten.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert T. Rachal; son, Robert Dwight Rachal; parents, Willie and Angela Delouche Brossette; brothers, Milton Brossette and Andrew Brossette and sisters, Ruth Brossette and Zelia B. Rachal.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Craig Anthony Rachal; daughters, Wanda R. Miller (Donald), Renee Rachal; brother, Elmo Brossette (Barbara); sisters, Daisy Brossette and Rose Louise Rachal; 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; twin great-great grandchildren on the way and a host of other family members and friends.
