Mrs. Minnie Altizer Akers, 72, died this morning in Radford Community Hospital. She was the wife of W.O. Akers. Other survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Eula Mae Akers Yopp, Princeton, W.Va.; one son, William H. Akers, Gaithersburg, Md.; one stepson, O.L. Akers, Pulaski Co.; 5 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Robert Altizer, Christiansburg. The body is at DeVilbiss Funeral Home pending arrangements. The unspiritual man does not receive the gifts of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned - 1 Cor. 2:14.
