William Oakley Akers of Radford, age 86, died Monday in a Montgomery County Hospital. He was a retired Radford City police officer. Surviving are two sons, Aubrey Lee Akers of Radford and William H. Akers of Blacksburg; one daughter, Eula Mae Spann of Houston, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Cicero Cox of Indian Valley and five grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1 pjn. Wednesday at the DeVilbiss Funeral ^ Home Chapel, with the Rev. Cecil Frazier officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery in Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday a t the DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford.
