She was born in the Watts Community of Searcy County, Arkansas on November 22, 1930 to James King and Callie (Rains) King.
Dolly was a Christian but has not been able to attend church for some time due to her health. She was a native of Searcy County and a graduate of Leslie High School. After graduation she has lived in Marshall. Dolly was a wonderful artist. Her first love was drawing, which provided the foundation for painting that she began in 1980. Dolly painted portraits, wildlife and floras.
Her work has hung at the Fall Festival of Arts and private collections in Harrison, Marshall and Leslie.
Dolly is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert V. Baker Sr.; one granddaughter; sisters, Annabelle Treece, Alcie Elliot, Radie Young, Lavina Craig and Freeda Lathum; and brothers, Dwight, Delight, Rufus and James King.
Survivors include sons, Robert Jr. (Luann) of Batesville and Michael (Carla) of Marshall; daughters, Patty (Duane) Cotton of Conway, Carol Baker of Marshall and Amy (Charles) England, also of Marshall; nine surviving grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Doyle (Carolyn) King of Marshall; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who will also mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Dolly will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Roller Coffman Funeral in Marshall, Arkansas. Visitation will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM Monday, December 14, 2015 in the Chapel.
Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery in Marshall.
Pallbearers will be Tim Cotton, Brian Baker, Brett Baker, Andrew Baker, Toby Beene and Bob King.
