Mr. Bill Caudill, age 87 of Wilkesboro, passed away Monday, December 07, 2015 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Arbor Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Susan Pillsbury Taylor and Rev. Steven McLain officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 at the church prior to the service.
Mr. Caudill was born July 21, 1928 in Ashe County to Joseph Todd and Millie Mae-Zelpha Miller Caudill. He was retired from Flavor Rich Dairy. Mr. Caudill was a veteran of the US Army having served in the Korean War. He was a 3rd Degree Master Mason (Mt. Pleasant Lodge #573), Sunday School Teacher for 60 years, Avid musician who recorded music at the Arthur Smith Studio in Charlotte and played on WKBC Saturday morning radio with his group "The Green Mountain Boys". Bill was a cattle farmer and loved his farm in Ashe County. He was a member of Arbor Grove United Methodist Church.
In addition, to his parents, Mr. Caudill was preceded in death by his wife; Georgia Annabelle Eller Caudill and four sisters; Nell Jarrett, Shelby Jean Wyatt, Albertine Vernon and Marie Davis.
He is survived by two daughters; Kim Caudill Hamby and husband Niki of North Wilkesboro, Sharon Caudill Cothren and husband Tony of Raleigh, one son; Greg G. Caudill and wife Sherry of Purlear, Loving Companion; Novella Christenbury, three grandchildren; Hanna Caudill, Rachel Caudill and Aaron Deal, two brothers; Joe Todd Caudill, Jr. of Charlotte and Delmar Caudill of North Wilkesboro.
