Saundra Taylor, 67 year old Woodward resident, died Thursday, December 3, 2015 in Oklahoma City. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 7, 2015 in the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church, Lincoln Campus with the Reverend Jason Dirks officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
Saundra Faye (Mitchell) Taylor was born on August 14, 1948 in Taloga, Oklahoma; she was the daughter of Ruby Vanzandt Redd. Sandy grew up in Woodward and graduated from Woodward High School. She was a Department Manager for Wal-Mart for 25 years and a loving care giver for over ten years.
She enjoyed reading, serving her church, Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church, and movie lover......and she loved a good mosh pit. Sandy loved caring for others, being with friends and family, board games, cleaning friends out playing penny poker, and reaching level 39 of Trivia Crack.
She is survived by one son, Kevin Porter and wife Franchesca; one daughter, Heather Icke and husband Lester; eight grandchildren, Cory Taylor, Kyle Taylor, Shelby Porter, Crystal Aurelius, Cameron Aurelius, Kassidy Porter, Mike Icke, and Delaney Icke; three brothers, Bobby Driskel and Vicki Edgin, Dennis and Faye Mitchell, and Dale Mitchell; best friend and sister of the heart Donna Koch and her brother Lynn Koch; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby and her brother Danny Mitchell and Geneva Colten.
