Dates uncertain as the tombstone picture is hard to read, but I think that is what it says. The eighth of eleven children born to Jeremiah Field (c.1764-1830) and Eleanor Sherwood (1776-1859), Eleanor "Nelly" Field married David Teague (1817-1889, son of William Teague & Anna Carter of Chatham Co., NC), their Randolph Co. marriage bond dated 9 March 1840; John C. Teague, bondsman; James McCain witness.

Eleanor and David had at least six children: Capt. Meredith Montgomery Teague (1841-1915, a Confederate soldier, m. Carolina Mary Cowles in 1875), Amanda J. Teague (1843-1933, m. Robert L. Causey in 1867), Alpheus A. Teague (1844-1918, a Confederate soldier & musician, m. Melissa Pandora Watson), Oswell D. M. Teague (c.1847-1899, m. Texie Anna Gibbs), Columbus Teague (c.1850-?, m. Mary Sullivan), and Mary E. Teague (c.1851).
