Obit: Della Lorene Barbee, 90, Heritage Health Care Center, Muncie, died at 1:20 p.m. December 26, 1998, at Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie.

Mrs. Barbee had worked at Jules Simon Co., Frankfort, and the Marion County Guardian Home in Indianapolis. She was a founding member of First Church of the Nazarene in Frankfort, and was a Red Cross Volunteer. She had lived in Indianapolis seven years, and also in Brownsville, Texas, and Angola, where she attended Angola United Methodist Church.

She was born January 3, 1908, in Clinton County, to Morris and Mary Wicker Alexander. She married Paul Barbee on February 13, 1926, and he died in 1964.

She is survived by two daughters, Bernice Cody of Indianapolis and Delores Richards of Englewood, Florida; seven grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.

Four sisters and one granddaughter preceded her in death.
