Dewey Virginia Brown Smith Tipps died on May 11, 2005, at the age of 81 following a long illness with Parkinson's disease.
Funeral services were held in the Family Chapel of Forest Park Funeral Home on Lawndale in Houston.
A graveside service followed in Forest Hill Cemetery in Livingston.
Survivors include her son, Roger Michael Smith of Houston; grandchildren of Houston; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wade and Laverne Brown of Humble, Jett and Shirley Brown of Livingston, Marlin and Estelene Brown of Livingston and Louis and Dorothy Brown of Angleton and one sister, Novie Kervin of Baytown.
