James E. Frazier, 90, a retired General Dynamics machinist, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones Friday, Nov. 27, 2015.
James was born Nov. 22, 1925, in Sulphur Springs to Earl Frazier and Evie Melton Frazier. He was a World War II naval veteran who served on the USS Marmora, a gasoline tanker. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed traveling in his RV, hunting and his farm and cows, specifically Lady and Hot Lips. He was saved and baptized in 1996. James was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Bettye Bounds Frazier.
Survivors: Wife, Edith Carr Ratcliff Frazier; son, John Frazier; daughter, Vicki Woodard and husband, Sam; grandchildren, James "JP" Woodard and wife, Holly, and Lauren Dereta and husband, Jimmy; great-grandchildren, Zach and Haley Mathis, Sarah Woodard and Brayden Dereta; sisters, Merle White, Jenita Cegelski and Helen Harrel; stepchildren, Emilie Saab, Angie Ratcliff, Wendall Ratcliff and Sarah Ratcliff; numerous stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
