John W Dean was born in West Almond Sept 11 1839 and was in his 79th year. He married for his first wife Janette Gibbs of Almond NY who died less than a year after their marriage his second wife was Miss Williams daughter of Calvin(Reuben) Williams of this place (Belmont NY) to this union (Nov 22 1867) several children were born those surviving and in attendance were daughter Mrs J.T. Arnold of Bradford pa three sons Ed and Earl of Ridgeway PA and Charles Dean of of Wellsville NY after the death of Mrs. Dean(Mandana) in (Oct 11,1906) Mr Dean has since made his home with daughter Mrs Arnold and removed the family from Belmont to Bradford PA about eight years ago.
