Mrs. Bessie Agnes Mabe, 73, of Rt. 3, Bluefield died Wednesday in a Bluefield hospital after a long illness. Born in Bassett, Va., she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Baton. She had been a resident of Rt. 3 for the past seven years. Her husband, William Mabe, preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Edith Dillon of Detroit, Mich., and Miss Hallie Mabe of Delaware; two sons, Charlie Mabe of Rt. 3, Bluefield, with whom she made her home, and Conley Mabe of Highland Park, Mich.; five grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Alice Newman of Eckman.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell. Burial will follow in Grandview Memory Gardens on Bluefield-Tazewell Road.
