ASHTABULA — Doris Jean Luce (Turner), of Ashtabula, Ohio, died Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, at Saybrook Landing Nursing Facility.
Doris was born June 27, 1925 and graduated from Ashtabula High School in 1943.
She was a full time homemaker who enjoyed genealogy, organizing her high school reunions, and going out to lunch with her friends.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Carl H. and Audry L. (Cook) Turner of Ashtabula; a brother, Herbert Turner of Amherst, Ohio; and her husband of 68 years, Wade S. Luce of Ashtabula.
She is survived by two daughters, Rhonda R. (Donald) Feicht of Valparaiso, Ind. and Sherene Schanfish of Ashtabula; and a grandson, Benjamin Schanfish of Kent, Ohio.
Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 24th, at the Ashtabula Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS AND CREMATORY, 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with the Rev. Philip Kachersky, of First Baptist Church of Jefferson, officiating. Burial will be in Ridgeview Cemetery, Ashtabula Township.
Calling Hour will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of Service at the Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions in her memory can be made to the family.
