Lewis Infant Dies.
GALENA, Kan., Sept. 5 — Carl (Chuck) Lewis, Jr., infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl ['Carlos'] Lewis, 301 Chicago avenue in Galena, died at birth at 11:13 o'clock this morning in St. John's hospital in Joplin.
Surviving, besides the parents, are one brother, Gene Edwin Paradee, and three sisters, Chlea Jean, Carol [Carolyn] Sue and Sanda [Sandra] Marie Paradee, all of the home; the maternal grandmother, Mrs. Myrtle Kohl of Galena, and the paternal grandfather, Henry Lewis of Galena route 1.
Graveside rites will be conducted at 10:30 o'clock Friday morning at Hill Crest cemetery, with the Rev. Lyle Luton officiating. Burial will be under direction of the Derfelt funeral home.
