Theodore Martin Tritchler was born on August 27, 1870 in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, and he was the son of John Mathias "Matthew" Tritschler (1836–1904) and his 1st wife Bridget (Howley) Tritschler (1835–1876).
He was married about 1896 to Lillian May Quinn (ca 1871-28 Aug 1949), who died in Fulton County, Georgia.
A merchant living at 12 miles Gallatin Road in Davidson County, he was 45 years old, married and had diabetes when he died at home of pulmonary TB on February 25, 1916. Burial was the next day in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
