Charles Henry Tritschler Sr was born on April 2, 1864 in Nashville, Tennessee, and he was the son of John Mathias "Matthew" Tritschler (1836–1904) and his 1st wife Bridget (Howley) Tritschler (1835–1876). [Although the Death Certificate for Charles has the surname without the -s- in the middle of the surname, most other records and relatives use that -s-.]

He was married about 1893 to Jessica Alice Taber (1872–1968), and she was the daughter of Harrison Taber (1840–1914) and his wife Alice (Graham) Tabor (1850–1898).

A florist living on West Lawn Drive in Nashville, Charles was 74 years old and married when he died at Nashville's Saint Thomas Hospital on March 16, 1939 of a coronary occlusion with myocarditis. Burial was four days later in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Most of the above is from his Death Certificate, with Harrison Tritchler of Nashville as the informant.
