MOULTON -- Funeral for Allen Jerome Bates, 72, of Moulton, will be Friday, Nov. 27, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home, with Reverend Pinky Tyler and Reverend Wayne Turner officiating. Burial will be in Red Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until service time.

Mr. Bates, who died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015, at his residence, was born March 16, 1943, to James Roland Bates and Mildred Inez Bates. He was a member of Oak Grove First Congregational Methodist Church and retired from 3M. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Bates, and his parents.

Survivors include two sons, Lacey (Amy) Bates and Chad (Brandy) Bates; daughter, Kami Bates; two brothers, Bobby Bates and Kenneth Bates; one sister, Jean Hallman; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family would like to thank Hospice of the Valley and ask in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of the Valley.
