KATHRYN ASHBY
EVERETT, Wash.—A mass of Christian burial was conducted Monday, Aug. 20,
at the SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church. Father Fred Wendel
officiated.
A scriptural rosary was recited Sunday at the Vase Funeral Chapel.
Interment was in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bob Gatti, Conrad Behring II, Ken Bucho, Steve Ashby,
Dave Ashby and Bob Homan.
Mrs. Ashby, 71, of Everett, Wash., died at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14,
1990 at the Providence Hospital in Everett following a lengthy illness.
She was born Sept. 18, 1918 the daughter of the late Anthony and
Elizabeth Dorrence Behring. She attended schools in Reliance and Rock
Springs and was a graduate of Rock Springs High School.
She married Eugene Ashby in Manila, Utah, Aug. 14, 1937. Mrs. Ashby was
a member of the Roman Catholic Church.
In addition to her husband, Eugene, she is survived by a son, Eugene
Ashby Jr. of Butte, Mont.; two brothers, Bernard Behring of Rock Springs
and Fred Behring of Idaho Falls, Idaho; two sisters, Marie Chalfant of
Orlando, Fla., and Nancy Homan of Cheyenne; four grandchildren, Steven,
Mark, David and Susanne Ashby, all of Butte and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother,
Conrad Behring.
