May 7, 1929 - March 18, 2005

Lawrence "Creekwater" Baldwin, 75, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 18, 2005, at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center.

A native of Limestone, Mr. Baldwin was born on May 7, 1929, to the late Hobart & Betty Smith Baldwin.

Mr. Baldwin honorably served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a 43-year employee of A. A. Deakins as a milk truck driver. Driving trucks was his life. Mr. Baldwin was Baptist.

He is survived by his wife, Edith Kate Rigsby Baldwin, Jonesborough; a daughter & son-in-law, Diana & David Sturgill, Gray; two sons & a daughter-in-law, Larry Baldwin and David & Mary Baldwin, all of Jonesborough; a sister, Sue Stark, Springfield, IL; six grandchildren, Josh and Chris Sturgill, Richard and Andrew Baldwin, and Natasha and Steven Baldwin.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Baldwin was preceded in death by his stepmother, Mary Baldwin; a sister, Jessie Green; a brother, Roy Baldwin; and three stepbrothers, Leroy, Ed, and Earl Thomas Mitchell.

A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Lawrence "Creekwater" Baldwin will be held at 8 PM, Sunday, in the Sunrise Chapel of Tetrick Funeral.

The committal and entombment service will be held at 2 PM, Monday, in the Mausoleum Chapel of Washington County Memory Gardens.

Arrangements for the Baldwin family are through Tetrick Funeral and Cremation Services, 3001 Peoples Street, Johnson City, TN
