HILLSBORO – Herbert H. Peters, 95, Hillsboro, died Thursday, March 19, 1998, at Salem Hospital.
Mr. Peters was born Jan. 13, 1903, at rural Hillsboro. He had retired from Top Top Creamery in Hillsboro and was a member of Lehigh Mennonite Church.
His wife, Anna, died in 1987.
Survivors include a son, Beuford of Newton; two daughters, Randelyn Kessler of Moundridge and Merilyn Peters of Plainville; a brother, Jim of Hillsboro; two sisters, Marie Ann Becker of Blackwell, Okla., and Helen Epp of Newton; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 2 p. m. Monday at Hillsboro First Mennonite Church, the Rev. Keith Harder officiating. Burial will be at 1 p. m. Monday in Lehigh Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Parkside Homes.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p. m. Sunday at Hillsboro Memorial Chapel, 401 S. Washington, Hillsboro 67068, where the family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p. m. Sunday.
