"Centerville, Jan 11 - The funeral of Mrs Anna Winton Mead was held at the Methodist Episcopal church Friday at 1 pm, conducted by Rev Dr C C Haskell of the Baptist church, assisted by Rev M E Wolcott and Rev W B Allison. The music for the occasion was furnished by a trio composed of Mrs F J Goodwill, Miss Frances Dowler and Eugene Cook, with Miss Mary Frances Walker presiding at the organ. Mrs Mead died at her home in Spartansburg of consumption, aged about 28 years and was the daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Samuel B Winton, who lost their lives at the Tryonville junction last fall, while attempting to cross the tracks of the PRR. Of her immediate family, she leaves her husband and one child about 3 years old. Interment at Sunnyside."
