Dr. Gary L. Smith, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church from 1927 to 1939, was buried in Sweetwater Cemetery Saturday morning with Wells Funeral Home directing local arrangements.
Dr. Smith, father of Mrs. Sammy Baugh of Rotan, died of a heart attack at his home in Rusk Wednesday afternoon. He was chaplain of the Texas State Hospital near Rusk at the time of his death. He went to Cisco from Sweetwater, and was pastor at Graham before coming here.
Survivors in addition to Mrs. Baugh are his wife and two sons, Perrin Smith of Wynnewood, Pa., and Clyde Smith of Colorado City.
