Born and raised in the Woodstown area, he was a resident of Clayton for the past 63 yrs. He was a graduate of Woodstown High School, Class of 1943.
Jake enjoyed gardening, hunting and going to his cabin in Penna., and traveling to Florida and California. He was on the Board of Directors for the Wilson Lake Memorial Park, a trustee for Cedar Green Cemetery Association of Clayton, member of the Clayton Lions Club, and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Clayton. He was a retired fruit farmer.
Jake is survived by his loving wife of 63 yrs., Dorothy L. (Nee McGinnis), and his devoted sons, William Jr., and his wife Helen of Vineland, and Douglas and his wife Audrey of Clayton.
7 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren.
Brother of Melvin Durham, and Lucy Ranagan, both of Calif.
Predeceased by his Brother Wesley, and his sister Gladys Berkenbine
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Sat. Jan. 27th, at 11 AM., at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, Broad & Maple Sts. Clayton, NJ.
Viewing Friday evening from 7 to 9 PM, and Sat. Morning from 10 AM. To service time.
Interment, Cedar Green Cem. Clayton.
