Sweetwater - Services for Russell B. Hubbard, 60, of Lubbock and formerly of Sweetwater and Roby, will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Cate-Spencer Funeral Home Chapel. Larry Fluitt, minister of Lamar Street Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will be in the Sweetwater Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jim Hale, Hub Bennett, Terry Neeper, Hubert Bennett, Genn Cherry and Gil Cherry.
Mr. Hubbard died at 7:20 a.m. Tuesday at the Methodist Hospital in Lubbock.
Born May 22, 1916 in Menard, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was a heavy equipment operator.
Survivors include his wife, Maxie; a son, Charlie Blount of Lubbock; a daughter, Shirley Underwood of Midland; three sisters, Bernice Boyd and Maude Weathersby, both of Sweetwater and Bea Davis of Roby; and a grandson.
