MRS. BRADFORD DIES IN LORDSBURG EARLY TODAY

Mrs. John Roe Bradford, 406 McCaulley Street, died early today at the home of a son, J. R. Bradford, Jr., in Lordsburg, New Mexico after an illness of about a week.

Mrs. Bradford had gone to visit her son about two weeks ago and took sick while there.

Ada Bond was born in Hamilton, Texas in 1886 [sic] and came to Sweetwater in 1900. She was married to J. R. Bradford on August 4, 1908.

Survivors are her husband and two sons, Bond Bradford of Pecos and J.R., Jr. and three grandchildren, Jo Ann, Betty and John Roe Bradford III. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. W. H. Fitzgerald of Albany and Mrs. Prentiss Rosen of Kerrville.

Her body will be brought overland from Lordsburg by Wells Funeral Home and will arrive here sometime Friday morning.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Christian Church where she was a member, conducted by the Rev. Hugh B. Warner, pastor, assisted by the Rev. J. T. McKissick of Abilene. Burial will be in Sweetwater Cemetery.

Pallbearers are to be Buck Allen, S. L. Nichols, Benford Brown, Carl Williams, Joe Boothe and Dr. A. J. Wimberley.
