She worked in Dallas for thirty years as a Private Duty Nurse and later retired to Corpus Christi in 1989.
Her parents and husband, Robert McLemore, Jr., preceded her in death.
She leaves a sister, Betty J. Dykes of Corpus Christi, Texas and a son Edwin Ray Jefferson (Ruby) of Los Angeles, California; four grandchildren, Linda Springer (Louis) of Phoenix, Arizona, Lynetta Johnson, Jr. of Los Angeles, California, LaToya Jefferson and Edwin Ray Jefferson, Jr. of Los Angeles, California; three great-grandchildren, a niece and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 1, 2005 at Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Home with Funeral Services commencing at 12:00 p.m. that afternoon at Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Home with Pastor Don Leavell officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
