Eloise Maxine Look, age 90, of Wellfleet, NE, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2015, at Centennial Park Retirement Village in North Platte, NE.

Eloise was born February 15, 1925, to Joseph and Ethel DeTour northwest of Wellfleet, NE where she grew up. Eloise graduated from Wellfleet High School then went to work as an operator for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company.

On July 11, 1947, Eloise was united in marriage to Dalton Knox in North Platte. They lived in Wellfleet and had two children, Joe and Carmen. Eloise and Dalton ran the Wellfleet Lakeside Inn from 1953 to 1968 when Dalton passed away. Eloise then cooked for the Wellfleet Grade School before going to work for Hipp Wholesale in North Platte.

Eloise married William Lee 'Bill' Look on July 4, 1970, in North Platte and they made their home at Lake Maloney. Following Bill's retirement, they enjoyed traveling to Texas in the winters and by 1989 moved to Pharr, TX. After Bill passed away in 1998 Eloise returned to Wellfleet to be closer to her family.

Eloise enjoyed square dancing, golfing, gardening, camping and bird watching and in recent years she liked using her computer. She was a member of Rebecca Lodge #441 and attended the Wellfleet United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her children, Carmen Knox, of North Platte and Joe Knox, of Wellfleet; three grandchildren, Jodi (Ron) Lemmert, of Ogallala, NE, Jeff (Erin) Knox, of Wellfleet and Jami (Bill) Schaffnitt, of Kearney, NE; five great-grandchildren, Ayden, Avery, Dalton, Breanna and Jayden; stepchildren, George, Ellen and Maryjane; three step-grandchildren, Matt, Rachel and Amy; a sister, Eleanor Shill, of North Platte; brother-in-law, Berdette Knox, of Colorado Springs, CO; and several nieces, nephews and other family.

Along with her husbands, Dalton Knox and Bill Look, Eloise was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Ethel DeTour; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Letha DeTour; brother-in-law, Charles Shill; and daughter-in-law, Sharon Louise Knox.

Cremation was chosen. A Memorial Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at the Wellfleet United Methodist Church with Pastor Tammy Aubushon officiating. Inurnment will be in the Wellfleet Cemetery. Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore is in charge of the arrangements.
