BARNESBORO - Funeral services for Peter Johncour, 85, who died yesterday at the home here of his daughter, Mrs. George Brown, will be conducted at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Long Funeral Home by Rev. J. Earl Bassler, pastor of the Methodist Church. Interment will be in the North Barnesboro Cemetery.
He was born in France on May 2, 1859 and immigrated to America many years ago. His wife the former Mary Lavelle, [LaBelle] preceded him in death. Surviving are four children. Peter Jr. and Mrs. Robert Gunsallus, Johnstown, and son, Sylvester died about two weeks ago at South Fork. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, seven of whom are in the armed forces; a brother James, Johnstown and a sister Mrs. Frances Williams.
Son of Pierre (Peter) Joncour & Yvonne "Susan" Simon. Other children Jennie E. Brown & Adeline A. Gunsallus.
