Age 66, of Fort Atkinson, died Monday, Nov. 9, 2015, as a result of an automobile accident on U.S. Highways 12 and 18 in the Town of Christiana.
She was born on Jan. 19, 1949, in Selkirk, Kan., the daughter of the late John and Mary (Kleymann) Greer.
Mary married Roderick Powers on Oct. 19, 1974, in Garden City, Kan. He died on Feb. 10, 2012. They had lived in Fort Atkinson since 1984.
She graduated from Wichita County High School, then received an associate degree from Garden City Community College.
Mary was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, St. Monica’s Women’s Group and the Catholic Christian Women.
Mary had a love for children. She cared for multiple generations of children with an in-home daycare that she operated for more than 25 years.
