Stone reads Father on top and similar in size and shape to Harriett Bogard stone which says Mother. Both have an emblem of the Bible and a dove on top.

Birth year appears to be off on the stone as census records list David as born in 1842. Three stones appear in a row here in this order: 1) David-Father 1909 2) David & wife 3) Harriett-Mother 1879)
The middle stone appears to represent the connection between David and his wife Harriett. Parents Hiram and Malissa Enlow-Bogard are buried by the big stone behind this Bogard line.

Two articles appeared in Vincennes Commercial in Nov and Dec 1905 and stated the mother was dead and the father was ill and almost blind. The article in November stated the children are: Mary D. aged 13; John B. aged 11; Hannah(should be Hiram) E. aged 7; Felice and Harriett twins aged 4 years. The article in December stated "Mrs. John Hoover made application to adopt the children of David Bogard... On account of the absence of Mr. Hoover in Colorado the court declined to act on the petition at present." It then states the court granted a change of venue for the case to Daviess county. Possibly records there will have more genealogy. This would most likely be Daviess county, Indiana where other Bogards that tie into this family line are buried.

Second wife Rachel Carrico-Bogard died between the birth of the twins in 1901 to 1905 when the news article discussing the family states she was dead. Note the writing and the symbols on the stone for Rachel Bogard in Billett cemetery match David and Harriet Bogard's stones in this cemetery.

David and Rachel's children can be seen on the 1910 census all listed as brothers and sisters. They are now orphans.
