The James SWAFFORD and Mariam JULIAN family were neighbors to the John YORK family in the Sandy Creek Community of Randolph County, North Carolina. Their son William SWAFFORD met and fell in love with Elizabeth YORK.
Elizabeth YORK was the first born of twelve children of John YORK and his wife Martha Jane WHITE. Elizabeth York grew up in the Sandy Creek Community of Randolph County, North Carolina.
Elizabeth YORK age 20 married on 30 Aug 1813 in Randolph County, North Carolina to William C. SWAFFORD age 22. Their bondman was William FERREE per page 265 of the Randolph County Marriage Bonds.
