Obituary
HYDE
On the 1st day of March, 1875, after a serious illness of about 7 months, Luvina G. Hyde, wife of Cyrus Hyde. The deceased leaves a sorrowing husband and a family of six children to mourn her loss. She was a consistent and zealous member of the M. E. Church for over twenty years, a model Christian, ever directing those about her to the ways of truth, piety and virtue. May her teachings live and be practiced by those left behind for all times to come. On the 2nd inst. her remains were followed to the church, where an able funeral discourse was delivered by Rev. Cross, of Illinois, after which her remains were deposited in their last resting place in Union Chapel burying ground. Her death was the result of a combination of complaints - first liver and lung disease and finally water gathering around her heart.
